Change begins once selfishness ends.

Many people will blame God on this big mess we have here on Earth. Countless tragedies go on every single day. Some extremely big, and others small. But, it isn’t God.

Whether it is horrific things like Holocausts, to something as someone saying something hurtful about you and hurting your feelings. Nothing is to be down-played…At some, another human being has hurt you. And, in return we have hurt another.

We like to blame others for our problems, and feel sorry for ourselves. We like to use the bad things  that’s happened to us and use it as an excuse to act out. We let our circumstances define our actions. If somebody was mean to us, or something in our day isn’t going our way, we think we have a “right” to be moody or treat another person more poorly.  If we don’t get what we want or what we have expected, we think we have a right to muster up anger and unleash it at a person. And often times it is unleashed at someone who does care for us.

So many things spur out of jealousy for someone else. Or they spur out of pride and feeling entitled to something.

There is such a lack of respect for one another. And there is such a downfall for all of us continually living for selfishness.

No matter what we’re doing, where we’re at, or who we are It’s time to start recognizing this. Recognize and take responsibility for our actions.

No one likes when someone is mean to them. No one likes being hurt.

I see so clearly how as humans we’re constantly blaming one another, and not first looking in the mirror and seeing the fault there. We are blind to our flaws, yet when it comes to another person we can pick out every single flaw.

We can break people. Big or small. With our words, we are disgusting. And our actions, we can be evil.

Remember every person is a Child Of God. Every person you meet is walking through something. We don’t know their pasts, their hurts, or what their going through. We should never assume. Let us end the cycle of hurting each other. And turn it into helping each other. Let’s be a person that we would LIKE to be around.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”  Ephesians 31-32
